Play time: growing, learning while having fun!

All kids love playtime, and eagerly wait for it every day. To them, it might be just a relaxing and fun activity, but there are several hidden benefits when playing all together with lots of other kids.

At our school, we see these benefits taking form every day: kids have to face challenging situations such as sharing toys, waiting for the toy to be handed over, limited space, and, often, playing with others who have different playing styles.

Those who like to be precise will have to put up with someone else’s penchant to be messy, and those who like to run and go crazy will have to rein in and adapt to limited space.

Recently, we noticed kids starting to do activities together, blending their styles and learning how to collaborate with others. From older kids coloring the same drawing together, to students from different classes joining in to create a wholesome game of house, or building a great castle using blocks.

It is truly underrated how useful playtime can be, and we love to try and discover more ways to challenge them while at the same time provide them with the way to express themself better and fully.
