This Adventure Day, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration, guided by teacher Lawrence, who was especially excited—Thanksgiving is his favorite holiday! We began by sharing why this day is so special, explaining the joy of gathering with loved ones, sharing a big meal, and, most importantly, giving thanks.
Our first activity was a “Shadow Quiz.” We saw cards of silhouettes of Thanksgiving ingredients like apples, potatoes, and pumpkins, and the kids guessed each one. Afterward, Lawrence shared delicious dishes made from these ingredients, sparking lots of curiosity! Next, we played a lively Yes/No quiz, where the children dashed to one side of the room or the other to show their answers, excitedly awaiting the big reveal.
After the games, we took a snack break with sweet jelly, but first, each child shared something they were thankful for this year. Finally, we wrapped up with a Thanksgiving craft, making colorful paper turkeys. On each feather, the children wrote what they felt grateful for—a perfect end to a day full of fun and thanks!
