Creating art is surely fun, but it is even more exciting when using our very own leaves collected last week during Adventure Day, at one of the local parks.
We decided to make beautiful wreaths using leaves, acorns, and pine cones too!
The kids had fun sorting and choosing what to put on, and then it was time to decorate!
Gluing got a little tricky at times, as not all leaves were nice and soft, or big enough, but with the help of the teachers, the whole project came nothing short of a success.
There were lots of techniques to experiment with, from coloring with crayons to using double-sided tape to gluing rough materials onto cardboard or wrapping colored wool around the wreath.
Some attention to detail brought us some colorful wreaths showcasing Autumn’s color palette!
The colors blended beautifully, and the wreaths showed so many different styles and interpretations, reflecting the kids’ personalities!
