We celebrated our 5th Field Day this Friday, which was undoubtedly a success.
Our banner looked so colorful and fun, and we could all feel the excitement growing as it was time to begin.
As the time to march in the main hall approached, the cameras were set, phones were out and ready, and proper video cameras were wired.
The warm-up dances were a blur of shiny pompoms and red skirts twirling and the kids did a great job!
Wearing Mickey Mouse and Minnie’s ears firmly on their head, the kids jumped and sang as a cohesive group, and a very cute one at that!
The teams warmed up their spirit with a boasting chant and an inspiring oath, and then it was time for the games to begin!
Our P1-P2 classes’ relay to parents race was such a cute one!
The “borrowed thing” game was such a fun-filled race, that had our hearts beating faster and our voices inciting out loud.
During the obstacle course, everybody performed incredibly well, showing agility, speed, and dexterity as they crawled, ran, balanced, and skipped through cones. Not an easy feat, yet even the little kids didn’t spare any energy and tackled it with enthusiasm.
To recover our breath, what better way than energetically dance along the notes of ‘Born this way”,
which the kids had practiced so much and had an intricate choreography! Everybody delivered a great performance, showing the fruit of their effort. Well done!
Parents handled hands-on games this year, and they delivered across the board. The tug-of-war was indeed a thrilling part of our games!
Lastly, we finished with two ball games before the final relay race, and with a great deal of tossing, head-to-head race, and unexpected stumbles, our hearts could not take a break!
The K-relay race was the perfect closing event, filled with adrenaline, passion, and effort. We were all so proud of the kids, and the parents were cheering everybody till the last minute.
It was indeed a great event, and with an emotional medal ceremony and closing statement, we drew the curtains on this year’s Field Day.
See you again next year!
