Today we celebrated the Doll Festival at school, in a joyful event full of colors.

The kids were very excited to make their own “Ohinasama and Odairisama” dolls, and they turned out absolutely lovely.
It was such a striking contrast of pastel colors, ruffled paper, and nicely designed pieces that they assembled skilfully for our eyes!

After all that creative burst of activity, we recovered with a sweet snack break, eating crunchy, delicate rice cracker flowers and drinking our kid-friendly version of amazake: Calpis! It was a huge success and a much more pleasant experience for everyone.

Last, we concluded with a ball game and some tunnel runs to release some more energy and take this fun day to a perfect completion.
Happy Doll Festival, everyone!
